Dolly
by Joel Hoy
" I love to play with fabric," says Joel. "My goal was to make a piece inspired by mid 19th century folk art, which could be both bear and doll."
Dolly is 9 ½” tall. Her head is hand stitched of taupe mohair with German glass eyes. Her body is made similarly to that of an antique doll, made of a small neutral print. Her lower legs are painted and the body as a whole is distressed. Her dress is turkey red cotton, decorated with a horizontal tuck and hand embroidered feather stitching above the hem. Her half slip is cotton with ivory stars on a navy blue field. The slip is decorated with a double row of tucks. Her muslin pantalettes are just long enough to show under her skirt. Dolly's adoption fee is $119.00. To adopt her, please email Joel right away!
