"More traditional types of teddy bear design have been running through my mind, and I have also been working smaller, says Joel.  "I’m not certain which has been the larger stretch!  It took a while to come up with this little guy."

John Philip is 9” tall.  He is made of taupe mohair with wool felt paw pads and German glass eyes.  His sailor shirt is made of a cotton print and has antique mother of pearl buttons.
